The members of the sequence are the solutions to puzzles 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12.
44 was the solution to puzzle 2,
13 was the solution to puzzle 4,
8 was the solution to puzzle 6 etc.
Hence, the missing member is the solution to puzzle 8, which was -$16.
Answer: -$16
